In case you get your hands on old information about scuba diving in Mancora, you'll probably stumble across the super cool looking dive site Plataforma MX-1. The old oil platform used to be frequented by sea lions, penguins, and other cool visitors. Now to the sad news: It was deconstructed 2 years ago. Nowadays you're chances to spot the aforementioned animals is next to zero.
You can still visit a reef nearby and see octopus, soft coral, fish, and more. We went on a dive with Spondylus and can fully recommend them!
